WESTSIDE

The Westside of Colorado Springs, generally including neighborhoods to the west of I-25, is diverse in both people and housing. You can see the character in the West Side as you drive around it, with many public art displays. Usually not that busy, the area provides easy access to the mountains. Passerbys bring the area alive during the weekend when Old Colorado City hosts one of the Springs’ best farmers markets. Buying a plot to build on in the West Side means buying into a tight-knit and laid back community. It’s perfect for custom home builders who like people and having the wilderness in their backyard.

FALCON

Although it’s an unincorporated area of El Paso County, Falcon is not to be underestimated in what it has to offer. Rapidly growing over the last few years, this area offers lower than average land plot prices than you’ll typically find around Colorado Springs. Once a hub for commerce, Falcon has all the basic amenities of a small town and puts you just about 20 minutes from the Springs. Building a custom home here will provide plenty of space and entertainment as well.

PEYTON

Near to Falcon, and sometimes confused with Falcon, Peyton features many of the same attractive qualities of Falcon and even shares a zip code. Devastated by a series of natural disasters in the mid 1900’s, the census-designated place is starting to see growth again and has many large, relatively cheap plots of land for your custom-built home.

DOUGLAS COUNTY

Located midway between the largest two cities in Colorado, Douglas County offers a variety of beautiful areas for you to find a building plot. With one of the highest median incomes in Colorado, you’ll be near to other beautiful homes and bountiful retail options if you build a custom home here. Still, far enough away from the city to enjoy the beauty of nature, Douglas County’s landscape still includes much of the open ranching land that the area built its economy on.
